I thought I had done this before, but maybe not since I started using Windows 10. I would like to use a few high order ASCII characters in some text in my FastCAD drawings, like Ω (234), ° (248), and maybe a few others. These characters appear as expected above (Omega and degree), but not in FastCad text. For example, when I try ALT 234 (degree) I get a capital "O" (which is ALT 279). Is this a code page issue or what? Any idea how I can simply enter these characters without having to import a table or other indirect method? Thanx.

OK, I see I may have misstated the issue. Now I can indeed enter ALT 248 and get °, but the Omega still comes out as a cap O, however as I am entering the text, an Ω shows up in the dialog box. But in the drawing it shows up as a cap O. So, could this be a font thing (I am using Arial TTF font). I get a cap O when using SMOOTH.FNT as well.

One last update. It seems all the Greek characters are being "translated" to western alpha characters. This is not happening in any MS Office apps, or any other of my programs. Is there a setting in FastCAD to set this?

OK, it seems this issue has to do with UNICODE. Does FastCAD not use UNICODE?
