When we work with information, we engage in three different processes: We gather information, organize it, and use the organized information. Many programs see these are three distinct steps, to be performed in exactly that order. In CollectedThought, we see these as three different activities that interact with each other fluidly.
We might gather information from the web, and make links to documents on our computer. As we do so, we might choose to organize these links visually in containers. While gathering information, we might like to return to the source of an image or some text to persue further information. CollectedThought makes all of this easy. It places no constraints on the order in which anything is done.
